Who are we and What are we about?

Welcome to the FVP (Fauna Vet Physio) blog, we can't wait to share our passion for veterinary physiotherapy with you. As we kick off our very first blog post, we would like to introduce ourselves, give you a glimpse of what our business and blog are all about.

Who Are We?

First things first, who are we? I am Saffy, I found FVP in 2019. I am deeply passionate about improving the well-being and quality of life of animals through non-invasive, evidence based and holistic therapies. My journey in this field began with a love for animals and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

I hold a BSc(hons) in veterinary physiotherapy and continue to expand my skill set and knowledge with additional qualifications and CPD. I am a member of the NAVP and AHPR. I have a wealth of experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I see first-hand the incredible difference physiotherapy can make in the lives of animals and I want to share the passion and knowledge I have with you.

What Are We About?

Our mission is simple: we aim to improve the lives of animals, by providing them with the best possible physiotherapy care. We understand that our pets, just like us humans, can face various physical challenges throughout their lives, from the demands of every day life, injury, aging, or specific medical conditions. Fauna Vet Physio is here to offer a helping hand when they need it most. We also feel it is important to keep our performance and working animals comfortable and in the best shape so they can preform at their best, comfortably and for as long as possible.

Our treatments are designed to alleviate pain, enhance recovery, improve mobility, and promote comfort and overall wellness in animals. Whether it's helping a beloved pet recover from surgery or supporting an athlete in peak condition, we are here to provide expert care and support every step of the way.

Here are some of the core values that guide us:

  • Compassion: We treat every animal with the same love and care that we would want for our own pets. Compassion is at the heart of everything we do.

  • Expertise and Knowledge: Our team is constantly staying up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary physiotherapy. We believe in providing evidence-based treatments that are proven to be effective.

  • Empowerment: We aim to empower pet owners with knowledge and tools to support their animal's health. Education is a key part of our mission. We want you to help us, help them.

  • Holistic and individual Approach: We recognize that each animal is unique, and we take a holistic approach to their care.

  • Team Work: We feel that for your animals to have the best possible care and advice that we need to work with other industry professionals as part of a vet-led team. That's why we are constantly trying to create links with paraprofessionals and vets.
